Eddie was 14 when he and his parents arrived (1911)from Rekeeta on the Russian- Polish border. From selling newspapers, he went on to start Reliable Clothing. Mary came with her mother from Russia after her father's arrival in 1911.

Nate came to Calgary (1910)from Russia with his stepmother. While still a boy he helped support the family and improve their farm. Lily and Nate married shortly after she arrived from Poland in 1923.

Harry came to Calgary in 1914;he eventually pioneered the Radio Centre appliance store. Ruth came with her mother from Russia after her father's arrival in 1911.
