Joe Joffe Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia - 1944
Fishing at Radium was a favourite pastime. Persuaded by Canadian
Pacific Railway (CPR) ads to go "west," two Joffe brothers (Sam and
Joe) were provided with free transportation to Calgary from New York
and arrived in 1906. They opened two stores in Calgary (Joffe Brothers)
and eventually Joe operated Garden Clothing.
