Bessie (Marks) Diamond Calgary - c. 1914
The Marks family went from Russia to
London, England, where Bessie was born in
1897. Her father Isaac came to Calgary in
1905, followed by her mother Leah and the
rest of the family. Bessie is shown here at
about 16 years of age. She married Joe
Diamond in 1923.
