Hyman Cohen began his career as a cattle
buyer for Senator Patrick Burns in 1914.
From his first small ranch in Symon's Valley,
he moved to a larger spread in Claresholm
and finally, from 1930 to 1944, he operated
the Tennessee Coulee Ranch in the
Porcupine Hills. At 8,500 acres it was one of
the larger cattle ranches in the area.
