In addition to our business meeting, we will be continuing our tradition of presenting Certificates of Appreciation to our community’s 80-year-olds. Voting at our AGM is usually verbal or by a show of hands unless otherwise requested, a procedure that we will continue this year. Due to the technical restrictions of this hybrid format meeting, any request for a secret ballot for the business portion of the AGM must be received by the office by October 8. While voting is limited to members in good standing, the meeting and program are open to the wider community.
The evening’s feature program will be The Little Synagogue on the Prairie at Heritage Park: 15 Years of Trailblazing Storytelling. Founding President of The Little Synagogue on the Prairie Project Society and JHSSA board member, Irena Karshenbaum, will present on the work that has been done in the fifteen years at Heritage Park pertaining to programming, special events and speaking about Jewish traditions and culture through artefacts, mostly to a non-Jewish audience.
The evening will conclude with the opportunity to schmooze over light refreshments.
