Romania,immigrated to Lethbridge c.1906.
This photo was taken on the occasion of
Morris'65th birthday.The couple raised
seven children:Max,Jack,Saul,Barney,Joe,
Rebecca and Sam.(Two doctors,two lawyers,
two dentists and a social worker.)

Born and raised in Calgary,Mary (daughter
of Sam and Elka Joffe)was one of the first
women in Alberta to receive a law degree.
Shortly thereafter she married Saul
Moscovich and resided in Lethbridge.

Street,the garage was started by Abe Bickman
in 1935.It is still a viable business,run out of
Taber by Abe's nephew Gary Bickman.

Ferne (nee Thomas) and Abe were married in
Calgary by Rabbi Barenholtz.Abe,based in
Lethbridge,delivered mail and milk in
Picture Butte for the Speedy Delivery Service.
He met Ferne while "on the job."
