became noted musicians, playing first violins
with the Calgary Symphony Orchestra.

Pictured are Sam and Sophie Maerov and
twin sons Ben (left) and Morris. In 1913 the
Maerov family came to Calgary from Seraj,
Russia, with their children Rubin, Louis, Alex
and twins Ben and Morris (surviving set of
three sets of twins). They settled in Riverside.
