Mr. Zuidema arrived in Calgary from Holland in 1910 to join his brothers Louis and Simon.
In 1916 he married Rose Braumberg. Trained as a marine engineer, he worked here as a CPR
blacksmith. This photo was taken in their backyard at 509 - 11th Ave. W.
