Come hear Michael Dawe, curator of History at the Red Deer Museum and Archives, give a presentation about “The Lost Jewish Colony of Pine Lake.” From 1892-1895 a small Jewish Colony sat on the shores of Blank’s Lake, near Pine Lake. Their leader was Rabbi Abraham Blank, and beyond that, much remains a mystery. Mr. Dawe gave this talk to much acclaim in Edmonton for the November AGM of the Jewish Archives and Historical Society of Edmonton and Northern Alberta.
